About the Journal

Actual Problems of Mind publishes papers on the study of topical issues of philosophy. The journal does not have a narrow thematic scope but tries to represent a wide range of development of contemporary philosophical thought in Ukraine and abroad, and it publishes translations of classical and contemporary authors.

The journal was founded in 1995 when the volume of proceedings of the Ukrainian conference Actual Problems of Mind was published. The conference occurred at the Department of Philosophy of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical Institute in October 1995. The initiator and organizer of the conference, as well as the journal's founder, was the head of the Department of Philosophy, Tavrida A. Khorolska.

In 2001, the journal obtained the official registration as a periodical (Certificate KB № 5135, 21.05.2001), and it was reregistered in 2012 and 2016 (Certificate КВ №18957, 04.04.2012, Certificate КВ №22384-12284ПР, 31.10.2016).

Actual Problems of Mind is a printed periodical included in the List of Scientific Professional Editions of Ukraine, category B, in philosophical sciences – 033 "Philosophy" (Annex 3 to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 27.09.2021 № 1017).

The journal pursues an open access policy to published content, supporting the principles of free sharing of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge and information for general social and scientific progress.

The journal's editorial board conducts a high-quality and impartial review of all learnt articles submitted by the authors.

The journal editors assign an international digital object identifier DOI to each published article.

Publisher: Since January 2021, the journal has been published by the Academy of Cognitive and Natural Sciences and Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University.
