The article describes the features, structure and content of formation of professional competence of nurses based on interdisciplinary communications in teaching chemical and biological disciplines in medical colleges. We analyzed the approaches of researchers to the peculiarities of preparation of nurses and their experience in formation of professional competence. Professional orientation is shown as the main feature in the formation of professional competence based on interdisciplinary communications, which provides the students’ skills development for implementation of the acquired knowledge in their future careers. It is indicated that personal qualities and outlook of students also influence the formation of professional competence of future nurse. The structure of formation of fundamentals of the professional competence of nurses based on interdisciplinary communications in teaching chemical and biological sciences is shown in the article. Based on experience and analysis of studies, we have identified components of formation of readiness of professional activities of a nurse: motivational, cognitive, organizational and activity. The research allowed to solve on theoretical level an actual scientific problem of increasing the efficiency of formation of fundamentals of the professional competence of nurses during studying chemical and biological disciplines in terms of interdisciplinary communications.
The areas of further research is in determination of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of formation of fundamentals of the professional competence of nurses based on interdisciplinary communications of chemical-biological and medical sciences.
