Abstract

The article presents an attempt to analyze the role of the biblical motifs in the poems by the famous Ukrainian lyric poet Iryna Zhylenko. It is demonstrated that Biblical imagery, reminiscences, and motifs as reconsidered by the writer reveal the peculiarities of her poetic world.
