Abstract

The article investigates the peculiarity of the time space of the novel by Tatyana Belimova "Free World" as the determining factor of the genre.  It is specified that the temporal-spatial continuum of the work is represented by the historical (reproduced historical reality of Ukraine of the twentieth century) and personal (from time to time from childhood to old age) chronotopes, through which the life of society, nation, and state are comprehended.  The role of prospecting and retrospection as components of the chronotope has been determined, which allows indicating the versatility of the text.
