Abstract

The author gives consideration to the philosophical tradition of justum bellum and attempts to classify the conceptions of a just war on the natural-law and distributive ones. He comes to a conclusion that these conceptions deal with different interpretations of judgment and are based on the classical treatment of
war as a continuation of policy by other means.
