The paper presents an analysis of the views on the problem of universals by two Catholic missionaries of the XIV century in Armenia — Bartholomew of Bologna and Peter of Aragon. These views can be characterised as a moderate realistic position of Aristotelian kind. In this respect the positions of Catholic missionaries were close to the positions of Armenian thinkers of those times. The basic differences are observed only in the approaches to the religious-ideological aspect of the problem.
