Abstract

The paper explains the application domain of the modern political philosophy in analytic tradition, its sources and features. The author undertakes as analysis of some concrete conceptions and determines the main task of political philosophy as a search of the optimal principles of the theory of justice and securing the possibility of a co-existence of various conceptions of a social good.
