Abstract

The irrational dominant idea in the epistemology of medieval mystic’s St. Bernard of Clairvaux is considered in the context of appeal to the space of western medieval thought. Subjective, individualistic nature of sensations of God in the mysticism by St. Bernard is shown as an anticipation of the ideological concepts of Protestantism.
