This article is a translation of a publication by Hans Albert, formerly Professor of Sociology and Philosophy of Science at the University of Mannheim and the author of numerous works and publications on critical rationalism. In 2006, a three-volume edition titled “Karl Popper: A Centenary Assessment” was published under the editorship of Ian Jarvie, Karl Milford, and David Miller. Professor Hans Albert was entrusted with the honorary task to write the introduction for the first volume.
