The article deals with current issues of professional interaction in the process of foreign commercial activity specialist’s professional training in the context of globalization and standardization. The author defines the important role of professional interaction in the 21st century, when organizations and their staff have the challenges caused by globalization. The focus is on the need and appropriateness of the professional interaction in the development and implementation of international professional standards for foreign commercial activity specialists as a unified tool for institutional development of organizations in the era of globalization. The author proved the EU Customs Blueprints as a basis for the standards of training foreign commercial activity specialists’ development and described the objectives and nature of the World Customs Organization Professional Standards, which define goals and strategic objectives of customs officers and foreign commercial activity specialists training. Educational strategies and recommendations on the structure of training and curriculum elaboration are presented.
