Artistic representation of concept «Apostate» («Vidstupnyk» in the literary work of Oleksandr Dovzhenko

Abstract

The article deals with the artistic forms of the implementation of the «apostate»  concept as an important factor in the formation of the ideological and thematic range of literary work of O. Dovzhenko. Special attention is given to the peculiarity of his interpretation in stories, cinematic writings, dramatic works of the artist, his creative connections with the creative heritage of M. Gogol . It is points out that, contrary to the official communistic ideology, one of the leading idea in the literary work of O. Dovzhenko is the idea of the importance of studying by the compatriots their own history as an inexhaustible source of education of national self-consciousness and patriotism.
