The paper presents an attempt to reveal some specific features in understanding of historical narrative in the continental philosophy of history. The author takes as the most substantial feature of the whole continental narrativistic philosophy the idea of an essential unity of history (as writing) and literature, whereas the narrative itself is considered to be a machinery for organization and understanding of the historical knowledge.
