The paper deals with the conceptions of historical reality and a historical fact in a connection to the philosophical and methodological ideas of Ludwig Wittgenstein. It is stressed that value judgments are both an integral part of a historical narrative and historical reality, being represented for a modern historian in a text of a historical narrative objectively as well as factual statements, thus, they may be considered as a subject of a ration scientific analysis.
