Choice as an integral characteristic of the life of the individual

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of choice in the structure of personality creativity. Theoretical and methodological review of some modern concepts of the phenomenon is presented. An attempt is made to expand the definitive analysis of the basic concept in the system of related categories of existential psychology. The specifics of life choices are determined, which, unlike other selections, is a complex process of human life that arises at a critical point, involves the integration of various forms of self-realization and construction of life in accordance with certain meanings and values. In its functional essence, choice is a complex existential act in which a person is presented as a subject of life. Prospects for further scientific research are outlined.
