Overcoming social risks among rehabilitated drug addicts by methods of social work

Abstract

The article is devoted to overcoming social risks among rehabilitated drug addicts. The essence of social risks is described, the influence of negative factors on social environment condition is revealed (at the micro-, meso- and macro levels). Social risks are connected with personal factors (psychological and juridical) at the individual level and they are determined as features of educational level, nationality, sex, family status, criminal characteristics, health level and the psychological factors. Two groups of psychological factors are identified. The first group includes these psychological factors: the types of personality accentuations, low level or aborted motivational sphere, low self-esteem, emotional immaturity, poor selfcontrol, low stress, the lack of skills to keep out of conflict, psychologically difficult situations, the undeveloped communication skills, inability to predict the actions consequences. The second group includes social and psychological factors that occur at the level of macro environment, – the economic and social distress, the low level of security in the community, the high crime rate that causes individual dissatisfaction, the need for security, poverty, accessibility and prevalence of alcohol and drugs, advertising, promotion psycho-active substances (PAS).
