Abstract

Certain characteristics in the social, political and economic development of the post-communist societies demonstrate that the theory of «multiples modernities» is well justified. The modern Ukrainian society can be called a «relatively modern society». Its transformation is under significant influence by the established social practices, as well as those factors that determine current transformation of the project of Modernity.
