The article deals with the features of the terminology study by future translators in universities in Germany, UK, USA. The formation of terminological component of their translation
competence in foreign universities occurs in different ways: by studying relevant modules; by offering courses (mandatory or elective), aimed at acquiring specific branch terminology;
implementation of specialized undergraduate and master’s programs.
