J. Searle’s conception of facts

The paper considers the conception of facts of J.R. Searle. The notion of an institutional fact is analyzed in detail, what is of a foundational importance for a conception of social institutions. The author proposes to combine J. Searle’s theory of facts with a conception of the Third World developed by K. Popper.
