Historical change in the specificity of the debate between continental and analytic philosophers is studied via comparison of the ideas of E. Husserl and G. Frege, M. Heidegger and R. Carnap, J. Derrida and J. Searle, M. Foucault, and also S. Žižek and N. Chomsky.
